You will have a sightseeing tour of Yerevan – one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the world. We will visit the Victory Park, walk around the small city center, see the Cascade, Opera Theater, Northern Avenue, Republic Square, visit the vegetable and souvenir markets.

"GYUMRI – THE NORTHERN CAPITAL OF ARMENIA"

Armenia's second largest city stands almost on the Turkish border. Ancient Gyumri is famous for its history – it was once a thriving and populous trading city, but the earthquake of 1988 destroyed most of the city. Gyumri is still recovering, but there is still a lot to see here! On the way to Gyumri, we will stop at the monument to the letters of the Armenian alphabet, visit the monastery complex of the XIII century Arichavank. Upon arrival, we will visit the Museum of Architecture of the city of Dzitokhtsonts and then we will have an interesting city tour of the Gyumri sights.

EXCURSION "FROM PAGANISM TO CHRISTIANITY: GARNI TEMPLE AND GEGHARD MONASTERY" 

On tour you will get acquainted with the pagan and christian parts of the Armenian history. You will visit the amazing Geghard monastery complex, carved into the rock. The next stop is going to be the Garni Temple, which overlooks the incredibly beautiful gorge of the Azat River. Next to it you'll find a cozy private house. Here you can relax, have lunch and take part in a master class on baking Armenian traditional lavash.

2. Armenia has the the longest reversible aerial tramway in the world – "Wings of Tatev". Its length is 5700 m.

3. Armenians is the nation of the first winemakers. In 2011 archaeologists discovered the world's oldest device for wine production, which was found in a cave near the Armenian village of Areni. According to experts, wine was produced here more than six thousand years ago.

4. Armenian cognac is the only one in the world that has received the privilege from the French to bear the name cognac, and not brandy. One of the most devoted fans of Armenian cognac was Winston Churchill.

5. Yerevan is called the "pink city", as many buildings here are built of natural stone of various shades of pink, what gives the city a magical look.
